Teri’s session along the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho was one of those evenings that just feels like magic. As a Post Falls Idaho pet photographer, I live for sessions like this one. We started with intimate portraits of Teri and her small dog, Teddy, focusing on the quiet connection between them. The soft glow of the sunset reflected off the water while golden and amber fall foliage wrapped everything in that warm, seasonal light I love so much.
This was actually part of a larger family session with her daughter and grandson, but this portion was just for Teri and Teddy. There is something so special about photographing the bond between a person and their dog. It is the little gestures and the quiet moments that tell the whole story. That kind of companionship only comes from years of love and it shows up beautifully in photos.
This spot down on the Spokane River is honestly one of my favorite locations for pet photography in North Idaho. It takes a little bit of a hike to get there but it is so worth it. The fall colors were absolutely stunning that evening and the soft setting sun made everything glow. These images are not just photographs. They are a snapshot of a relationship and a moment in time that Teri will be able to look back on forever.
Stay tuned because I will be sharing the full family session in a separate post soon. In the meantime, these portraits of Teri and Teddy are such a beautiful example of what fall pet photography in North Idaho can look like. If you have been thinking about booking a session, I’d love to hear from you!
