Lauryn’s senior session in Careywood, Idaho was everything I love about photographing seniors in North Idaho – a perfect mix of personality, natural beauty, and heartfelt connection.
We started the evening with photos alongside her truck, which couldn’t have been more fitting for her country-inspired senior portraits. The weathered textures and soft evening light gave every shot that timeless, rustic feel that perfectly reflects life in North Idaho.
Next, as we wandered through the property, I noticed wildflowers scattered across the fields – the kind of unexpected magic that makes every session unique. I suggested we pause for a second look, and the results were absolutely worth it. The hazy sunset filtered through the blooms, wrapping everything in a golden glow.
We ended the session with her beautiful mule, Sadie. Their bond was undeniable – gentle, and full of trust. Photographing the two of them together felt like capturing the very essence of Lauryn’s story: a love for animals, the western lifestyle, and the peaceful beauty of life in rural Idaho.
From trucks and wildflowers to equine portraits at sunset, Lauryn’s senior photos ended with Sadie by her side and the last of the sun slipping behind the mountains.
