Dogs don’t need to sit, stay, or pose perfectly to create something beautiful. My sessions are calm, patient, and built around your dog’s natural personality, whether that means wiggling, wandering, or watching the world go by. For safety, most pups stay on leash during their session, and it’s removed afterward during editing. The result is a collection of genuine, beautiful portraits that capture your dog’s true and authentic self.
Every great session starts with connection. We’ll chat about your dog’s personality, what makes them special, and the kind of images that make your heart happy. From there, we’ll craft a plan for the perfect location, lighting, and artwork that feels fun, relaxed, and completely authentic to your life together.
Let's Plan the Perfect Session
01. Consultation
This is your dog’s time to shine. We’ll create a relaxed, playful environment that lets their true personality unfold - whether they’re full of energy, exploring new places, or easing into the day at their own pace. You don’t need to worry about perfect behavior; I’ll follow their lead and capture the moments that make them uniquely them.
Wag, Wiggle, Repeat
02. session day
1–2 weeks after your session, we’ll reconnect, either in person or over Zoom to unveil your proofing gallery. Fall in love with your images as we select all of your favorites and design artwork that perfectly complements your space and style. You’ll leave feeling confident and excited, knowing exactly how your pieces will look in your home.
Fall in Love All Over Again
03. ordering appointment
This is the moment everything comes together: your favorite images, transformed into stunning, museum-quality artwork. From stunning gallery canvases to leather heirloom albums, each piece celebrates your dog’s unique personality and the love you share, creating keepsakes designed to be admired, loved, and cherished for a lifetime.
The Finishing Touch
04. artwork delivery

FAQ
Absolutely! Travel fees are waived for clients in North Idaho and Eastern Washington, however, I'm more than happy to accommodate your session anywhere in the United States! Travel fees are based off of location, duration of stay, and number of clients being photographed - please inquire for a custom quote.
I closely monitor the weather leading up to your session to ensure we have the best possible conditions for beautiful light and a relaxed experience. If it looks like the weather won’t cooperate, you fall ill, or an emergency comes up, we’ll simply move your session to another day that works for both of us. Please know that sessions are reserved exclusively for you and can only be moved in extenuating circumstances. In those cases, a new session fee is required to secure a new date and time.
Absolutely. I have an extensive 14 years of experience as a veterinary technician in addition to personal training with professional dog trainers. I’m well-versed in canine behavior and know how to handle virtually any situation calmly and effectively. Every dog deserves to be celebrated just as they are, and I take the time to create a relaxed, positive environment so your dog feels safe, comfortable, and free to show their true personality.
This is a VERY common concern amongst pet owners and is a non-issue. Almost every photo you see, there was actually a leash present at the moment the photo was taken, and was easily removed during the editing process. This ensures both your dog, and others around us, remain safe and abide by local leash laws while still getting the images you desire!
Yes, and I encourage it! The bond you share with your dog is a huge part of their story, and some of the most heartfelt images come from simple moments of connection - a snuggle, a laugh, a lick in the face, or a quiet touch. You don’t need to pose or perform; just be present - I'll handle the rest!
Sessions can take place anywhere that feels right for you and your dog - your home, your favorite park, a local trail, or one of my handpicked locations with great light and natural beauty. During our session planning, we’ll talk about what kind of setting best fits your dog’s personality and your vision, and if we need to visit multiple locations to get the right look, we can do that too!
Need location ideas? These are some of my favorite spots in the North Idaho and Spokane areas:
- Q'emiln Park (Post Falls Community Forest trails)
- Tubbs Hill
- Downtown Coeur d'Alene
- Avista Dog Park in Rathdrum
- Liberty Lake Regional Park
- Saltese Uplands Conservation Area
- Mirabeau Point Park
- Rounds Lake State Park
- Trailhead for Pend d'Oreille Bay Trail
- Farragut State Park
- Corbin Park
- Dishman Hills Natural Area
- Riverfront Park, Spokane
- Deep Creek Trailhead
Bring anything that helps your dog feel happy and comfortable - favorite treats, toys, water, and maybe a cozy blanket or leash that looks nice on camera. If you are planning to participate in the photos, we'll pick out a nice outfit for you as well during our planning! I will have extra treats, poop bags, toys, and noise makers on standby!
This is highly dependent on the individual session and our goals for your images. If we are visiting multiple locations or adding in multiple looks or outfits, we'll need some extra time. Most sessions last around an hour to an hour and a half. Some dogs warm up quickly, while others need time to settle in so I always schedule us a nice buffer just in case. The goal is to create a relaxed experience that feels fun and stress-free for both of you.
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes our beloved companions face emergencies, illness, and end-of-life situations. Please know that I approach these circumstances with the utmost compassion and flexibility. If something happens before your session, we can absolutely reschedule for a time that works, or, if it feels right, create a memorial session to honor your dog’s memory in the unfortunate event of their passing. My priority is always supporting you and celebrating the special bond you share, no matter the situation.
