Breed of the Month is a monthly spotlight dedicated to celebrating a featured breed and the incredible bond shared with their humans. Owners are invited to submit photos and stories for a chance to put their best friend in the spotlight. From the entries, one Grand Prize Winner and one Runner-Up are selected to receive an exclusive custom portrait experience and featured prize package.

How We’ll Celebrate You & Your Dog
Shelbi Nicole Imagery is on the hunt for the ultimate representative for this month’s featured breed - the Australian Shepherd! One Grand Prize winner will be selected for the full spotlight experience, as well as one Runner-Up. Here is what each selected winner will walk away with:
A fully customized portrait session for your Australian Shepherd.
A private image reveal and ordering appointment to select your favorites.
Two professionally retouched digital images (photographer's choice.)
A $100 credit to use towards your favorite images and/or artwork.
Access to premium handcrafted artwork not available to the public.
*Kindly note that your gifted credit must be used during your ordering appointment in order to redeem the two complimentary digital files. Options begin at $495.
Frequently Asked Questions
Nope! This contest is open to all ages - just make sure you meet the breed requirement.
Not at all! While basic commands such as "sit, stay, down" are always helpful, your dog does not need perfect obedience. Sessions are designed around their comfort and personality. Generally, leashes are used and removed in the editing process.
Mobility issues are never a concern. Senior dogs deserve beautiful portraits, regardless of their limitations. Together we will make a plan for a customized session that honors them beautifully while keeping them stress-free and comfortable.
Sessions will generally take place around the Coeur d'Alene, ID area. Locations outside of this area may be considered with a mileage fee.
Absolutely! In addition to the vision for the session, extra time will be included should you wish to get pictures of you and your dog together. If you are interested in being included with your dog, please make this known in your application so we can plan for outfits accordingly.
You will receive two complimentary digital files of the photographer's choosing, upon using your credit at your ordering appointment. You must use your credit in order to redeem the two complimentary digital files. If you opt not to use your credit, no digital files will be provided.
There is no purchase required. However, your gifted credit will need to be used in order to redeem your two complimentary digital files. Options begin at $495, so you should expect and be prepared to spend out-of-pocket. If you would like to forfeit your credit and choose not to purchase anything at the conclusion of your image reveal and ordering appointment, that is perfectly fine. The credit is void at the conclusion of this appointment and may not be saved or transferred to other individuals. Digital files will not be provided in that instance.
