Teri’s session along the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho was one of those evenings that feels like magic. We started with intimate portraits of Teri and her small dog, Teddy, capturing the quiet connection between them. The soft glow of the sunset reflected on the water, while the golden and amber hues of fall foliage added a warm, seasonal backdrop for timeless images.
Although this was also a family session with her daughter and grandson, we focused this part of the session just on Teri and Teddy. There’s something special about capturing the bond between a person and their dog – the little gestures, the quiet moments, and the shared sense of companionship that only comes from years of love.
This location down on the Spokane River is one of my favorites for sessions, especially for clients who don’t mind a little hike to get there. The vibrant fall colors paired with the soft light of the setting sun made for stunning, natural portraits of Teri and Teddy. These images aren’t just photographs – they’re a snapshot of a relationship and a moment in time that can be cherished forever.
